Moments Through My Lens

A curated glimpse into the stories I capture every day.

Capturing the pulse of city streets in vibrant moments.

A monotonous static life finds some rhythmic motion with the incidental finding of a camera

ANWAR (10), from a family displaced by natural disasters and industrial development, lives with his five-year-old brother and their pregnant mother in a temporary hut on a riverbank—an abandoned cowshed in a cyclone-prone coastal area.

Their father sold their land and disappeared. To survive, the mother makes cotton candies, which Anwar sells in the local market. He also supplies eggs from his village to a local vendor. During lazy noons, Anwar hears mesmerizing stories of city architecture from UTTAM (45), a betel-leaf seller, which spark the brothers’ fascination with a mall and its “flying stairs.”

A rare moment of fortune sends them toward the city- they imagined for long. What seemed a radiant dream turns hostile after a while. Separated inside a space built for movement and consumption, the hope of freedom gets confined inside a prison of structural development.

When they reunite, nothing is repaired—except the fragile understanding that escape is temporary, and storms always return.
